NEWSLETTER FOR THE MONTH DECEMBER 2009
Dear Revds,Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus. Hope this letter would find you in the best of His grace and mercy. We are in the last month of this year 2009. Moses in his psalm says, “Lord help us to count our days”. I look back and think what we have accomplished in India with His help. We had many ups and downs but we made it through .We thank you all who stood with us in prayers and supported us through your sacrificial giving. We say a big ‘THANK YOU’ .We appreciate your prayerful support. If not for your prayer and support we could not have come thus far. God bless you, your families, churches, business or whatever you do. May God prosper you. We assure you of our continued prayers.
This year is an year of Blessing and Victory, even though we faced severe persecution in many of our churches. In the month of August I was beaten by the Hindu fanatics. They threatened to kill me. A team from Malaysia was visiting India. We were returning after preaching in a village. They stopped us and beat me. On Sunday morning we were worshipping in a tent close to the foundation of the church we are building. The police came and told us not to build the church. In the evening we went out to preach in our van with all equipments and medicine. We were getting ready to have a small crusade. Two men came to me and told that we cannot preach Jesus there. They called other people. More than 500 and surrounded our van. They were shouting “Burn them, Kill them”. They were also trying to harm the ladies who were with us. God helped us we came out safe. They beat me and the Pastor of the church. The police come with the Hindus and force the Pastors to close the church. In spite of the persecution, the churches are growing. We had about 283 baptisms in the period from June to September. Praise God. In august we had 53 baptisms. We started 6 new churches. We had a big youth convention on August 15th. My son who is the National Youth President was one of the preachers. About 1000 youth attended. God helped us to get a time to preach every Friday in a commercial television. It is God’s wonder.
The pastors are working hard. In central India ,Pastor Dikpal’s church is growing fast. We have
a property now. We are going to build a church. I was there in July. In Maudah and Nagpur we had many baptisms. They have started few new churches. We are training young people and sending them to start churches. A Pastor has donated 500 books for our training center. In North east India, in Chattisgargh the churches are exploding in growth. Pastor Ajarsai Minj has no place to worship now because his church is growing very fast. They now worship under the trees. We receive wonderful praise and victory reports from other churches too. In Odeyarpalaya they are constructing a new building, but the police have stopped them. Please pray. The church is growing fast. Last month, 20 new people have been attending the church.
The Christmas is getting close. The theme of Christmas is “Giving”. God gave His only Son for us. As most of you know that we have special programs for all the churches, specially for the Tribal churches and children. We give special food and clothes to the Tribal Christians and children. We also give a special gift of $50 dollars to all the Pastors families. In the past years you have helped. Please send some extra offering with your regular support to help with our Christmas programs we have for the Tribals and poor people. This year we need US$6500/-. You can make a Pastor happy or a Tribal Christian happy. We use this opportunity to show the Love of God and also preach about Jesus. We tell them Jesus came as a Savior to mankind .Please help us to help the people in India. Please send a check or Money order to the address given below or you can deposit direct to the account.
